The new card library, and sharper axes

  • Word in town. The game now learns what you enjoy and suggests a next step on the main menu and after battles. Computer rivals remember how your last feud ended. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • A bigger website. Every card now has its own page, with stats, tips and how to get it. New guides cover strategy, roles, themed decks, the town, the economy and online play.
  • New axes and hammers. All 14 axe fighters and 7 engineers now hold their weapons facing the enemy. Axes are redrawn in three head shapes, with a long tapered handle and a bright cutting edge.
  • Your cards are safer. Everything you win or buy now reaches your account straight away, and two devices can no longer overwrite each other.
  • Free daily card fixed. The free card now really comes once a day.
  • Rubies only buy looks. The Legends Pack now costs 5,000 gold. Rubies only ever unlock cosmetics.
  • A proper sign for the peddler. The peddler's name now hangs on a real sign in town, and no longer shows through buildings or other screens.

Fair play, frames and a town that fills up

  • Online matches protected. Every online duel is now checked, so both players can trust the result.
  • Battle chat and reactions. Talk to your rival during a match, or answer with a drawn reaction.
  • Weekly missions. Five goals each week, paid in gold.
  • Fair leader rules. Leaders can only be hurt by a character inside their base, and a nearby enemy blocks the strike.
  • Mastery, frames and boards. Win with a character to earn Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum frames, and collect new board styles.
  • Card levels. Replicas and gold now raise a character up to level 10.
  • The crowd takes its seats. Townsfolk now cheer from wooden stands around the board.
  • Town storage and harvesting. Buildings fill up while you are away, ready to harvest.
  • Balanced teams. Every deck now needs characters in all four team lines.
  • Melee reach. Melee characters now reach all eight tiles around them, corners included.
  • Better looks for every class. Weapons sit in the hands, robes and staffs are redrawn, and archers take a real shooting stance.
